To welcome the arrival of the 2011 Spring Festival, a gala musical fireworks show will be held in Sanya, according to the Sanya Culture & Sport Bureau.

The 2011 New Year fireworks show will be set up at Xiaodonghai beach on Feb 2, 2011 (New Year’s Eve), and other fireworks shows will be staged on Phoenix Island, Dadonghai Tourism District and Yalong Bay respectively on the first day of Spring Festival on Feb 3, 2011.

Fireworks will be set off throughout the gala show on Phoenix Island, the main venue of the 2011 New Year fireworks show. Meanwhile, various kinds of performances will be staged for locals and tourists to enjoy the festive atmosphere.

Each fireworks show will last 30 minutes.
