The arrival of athletes in Busteni, Romania marks the launch of competition for the Ice Climbing World Cup Busteni 2012.

This most spectacular event of extreme sports which takes place in Romania will kick off on Feb.10.

This year event will be held by Busteni Municipality, Clubul Alpin Roman (CAR), Federatia Romana de Alpinism si Escalada (FRAE).

Busteni Ice Climbing Structure is known as one of the most wanted by the ice climbers because of the overhanging and the complexity of the structure.

The best Ice Climbers in the World comes every year in Busteni to face with the difficulties of our structure.

Busteni Structure was built in 2010, by the Busteni Town Hall, under Romanian Alpine Club technical support. It has a refrigerating system brought from Canada.
