In the past decade the character of the Taipei Int’l Cycle Show changed drastically from a dedicated industry event to an overall distributor happening attracting large crowds and more exhibitors year after year. It started in early 80s as a promotion event for the local bicycle industry and supported by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA).
Next week Wednesday March 7 the 25th edition of this international bike sector gathering is opening its doors. The number of international visitors of this jubilee edition is expeted to exceed the one of last year. At that time a substantial number of international visitors decided to cancel their trip due to the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan. Next to that the importance of China for the bicycle industry and Taiwan’s international trade is growing.
