As the mass customization trend in outdoor gear continues to gain momentum, Beyond Clothing is on track to pioneer a new movement in custom outdoor apparel. From headlamps to messenger bags, running sneakers and custom skis and boots, there is no shortage of demand for constant innovation and personalized products among discerning outdoor enthusiasts seeking dependable gear that is both relevant and authentic to their lifestyles.

As many apparel and outdoor gear brands continue to grapple with delivery times, delayed shipments and escalating costs from production overseas, savvy outdoor consumers are also taking note of gear that is made in America. Founded in 2011, Treehouse Communications is the sole proprietorship of Theresa Blake -- a seasoned industry professional with over 14-years of experience within the ski, LOHAS and outdoor markets working for brands like Intrawest Corporation, Wild Oats Markets, Inc., and Verde PR & Consulting. Employing a mix of traditional and new media strategies, Treehouse will work to position Beyond Clothing’s Fall 2012 custom apparel collection to the outdoor, snowsports, military, hunting and broad markets, while paving the way for an innovative, custom retail strategy set to launch in 2013.

Beyond Clothing’s existing online ordering system offers a unique experience tailored to create custom cold weather apparel for the specific demands of active outdoor pursuits, including climbing, skiing, alpinism and everything in between. Customers enjoy creative license to select color and fabric options, pocket and hood configurations, and most importantly, to provide measurements for custom-tailored garments that fit according to the end users individual size, shape and personal preferences.

Beyond’s Custom Layering System (CLS) further tailors the customization process to include a modular layering system for combining base layers, fleece, soft shells, down or synthetic fills, and waterproof, breathable fabrics depending on the activity, conditions and intended use.
