MMM Premier Park, The Old Oaks Touring Park, have opened their new facilities block, which is more than just a little bit special.

The prestigious 'Middle Oaks' facilities building opened on 11 July, adding to the five-star park's features, and in keeping with The Old Oaks' award-winning environmental and energy conservation standard.

At the heart of Middle Oaks is a large foyer leading to seven spacious unisex shower cubicles, each equipped with a wet room-style shower, hand basin, mirror, hand drier and toilet. Guests with accessible needs have an extra large disabled suite. There are additional showers, wash basins and toilets in separate ladies and gents areas. One of the nice extra touches includes a separate make-up area with mirrors and electrical sockets for hair care equipment in the ladies.

Also in this complex is a washing up area with four sinks, plus a microwave oven and ice pack freezer. Another 'Old Oaks touch' is the provision of a washer and dryer dedicated for dog blankets and bedding.

The whole space is light and airy thanks to high ceilings with large sky-lights and beautifully tiled floors and walls. Solid oak doors complement the building which is faced entirely in local stone. Solar thermal tubes on the roof will store hot water, the lighting is movement activated and heat within the building is recycled thanks to a venting system.
