Continuing Education is partnering with Adventure Rock Climbing Gym in
offering a new Rock Climbing class to help students (ages 18 and up) reach new heights.
Continuing Education offers a huge variety of courses to choose from in areas such as
personal enrichment, career development, and
helping students reach their
potential. Adventure Rock is an indoor climbing gym offering
the ultimate indoor climbing adventure.
Hands-on coaching for Rock Climbing: The Basics and Up! is provided by instructor of Andrew Raether and classes will be held at the indoor climbing gym, Adventure Rock located at 21250 W. Capitol Drive, Pewaukee, WI, 53072.
Classes begin M, Sept. 10-Oct 29, 6:00pm-8:00pm (No class Sept. 24) and include a field trip to Devil’s Lake, Wisconsin Dells on S, Oct. 17, 10:00am-6:00pm.
The $159 class fee includes gear for class, the field trip and a free membership to Adventure Rock Climbing Gym for the duration of the class dates.
UW-Waukesha Continuing Education Director Susan Adams states, “This is a great new recreational sport to try in a comfortable, fun and controlled environment; Adventure Rock is known for encouraging students in the sport of rock climbing and the facility is outstanding! This class was developed for those with no experience and those with some rock climbing ability but regardless of where you are as a climber all students are set up for success.”
Instructor Andrew Raether will cover all aspects of climbing including safety skills, technique, route reading, rappelling and more, all in a fun and social atmosphere.
Future collaboration between UW-Waukesha Continuing Education and Adventure Rock may include classes with a family focus, as well as team building courses for businesses.
