People face difficulties in day to day life because of unexpected changes in their life. To cope up with these difficulties, George Hebert, who first saw Africans doing these types of movements, introduced Parkour through different mediums of media.
Parkour, as an Art
Parkour is an art of training human body to move quickly and face obstacles, which are faced by it in natural and urban environment. It is an art of displacing
the body which requires neither any specific structure nor any accessory for practice. It’s basically the human body which develops methods for safety of the parts of the body, when the body is faced by some obstacle, and moves quickly. A person should have good athletic qualities like: running, jumping and climbing etc. The practitioner must be practicing parkour to gain full command on this art.
Parkour – A way of life
People believe that parkour is an art but also think that, it should be made a way to livelife. If parkour would be made a way to live life than people will be able to defend them, and life would be much safer. The practitioners of parkour are inspired by this complete sport because it develops many skills. Parkour has become a bit difficult discipline to train because it continually tests the limits of its practitioner. It can be said that Parkour is much more, a way of life, than a sport. It is a way through which a person can find his own abilities, and a way to control his own body. Through Parkour a person becomes stronger, mentally as well as physically.
The reason behind this, that parkour is a complete sport, is that it demands and recruits all physical and mental capabilities of human body with perpetual consideration.
